Site and access
Show property lines, existing and proposed structures, access, grades, utilities, and relevant constraints consistently.
Field note 02 · Permit path
Plan check is not a single drawing. The site, existing conditions, architecture, structure, energy work, utilities, and applicable forms need to describe one project.
01 · Permit before work
Fullerton’s Building and Safety FAQ states that ADU conversions and garage conversions require permits, and construction cannot begin before permit issuance. Confirm the live process and scope with the City before starting demolition or concealed work.
02 · Drawing set
Show property lines, existing and proposed structures, access, grades, utilities, and relevant constraints consistently.
Distinguish what remains, what is removed, and what is new. Conversions need an honest record of the shell.
Coordinate structural, energy, utility, and other project-specific information with the architectural sheets.
03 · Review loop
A useful correction response explains where each comment was addressed and keeps every affected sheet aligned. Schedule and approval depend on the property, package completeness, applicable reviews, and the City’s workload; this site makes no timing guarantee.
Check sheet numbering, addresses, dimensions, scope notes, consultant coordination, and current forms.
Track the comment, responsible discipline, changed sheets, and any new assumption created by the response.
